Theory Sessions, May 2008
This is a preliminary agenda for the Theory Interest Group at the Trieste InterOp (
InterOpMay2008).
Session I: Microphysics simulations and Semantics
Tuesday 20 May 2008, 16.30-18.00, Vulcania 1
Aims of the session
The present session aims to obtain a preliminary definition of requirements for the implementation of semantics for theory models and microphysics simulations and models in the VO. In partticular, at the present stage we want focus the discussion in:
- Establish a common vocabulary schema and investigate their possibilities (Semantics: definition of words)
- Explore the different data models needed to cover microphysics simulations and models (Data models: make senteces)
- Explore the what is really required for microphysics simulations an models access protocols (Access portocols: speak sentences)
Taking into account the feedback of the final service providers and users (roughly, simplicity in the implementation).
We encourage the attenders to also attend to the sessions of:
- DAL: TAP (Tuesday 20 May 2008, 9:00 Ocean AB)
- Theory: SNAP (Wednesday 21 May 2008, 11.00, Ocean AB) see below
- Semantics (thursday)
- Applications and Registry, with particular attention to the the possible conexions with the present session.
