_From the point of view of the specification, I'd say there's administrative methods (exchanged between a client and the hub/messaging fabric), and application methods (exchanged between one client and another). I don't see why, for the purposes of the messaging spec, they need to be categorized further   -- IVOA.NoelWinstanley_
